Restoring the UNRESTORABLE Class II.
Speaker: dr. Celine Higton (UK/USA)
This hands-on course will focus on the ‘bread and butter’ Class II restoration. Whether ‘routine’ or ‘unrestorable’ this treatment is often underestimated… the simple filling has certainly come a long way in this new age of adhesive dentistry. The lecture and course will describe how to effectively manage DME before continuing with the composite placement itself - going into detail on matrixing and rewalling protocols, the use of short fibre reinforced composite as a ‘dentine replacement’ and finally, how to create the occlusal enamel layer. Learn from a mix of literature review, lecture and hands on training how to follow cutting edge biomimetic principles to consistently place robust and reliable posterior composites that will stand the test of time and outlast the industry standards.
